Used often in Koreans skincare products, this is a gentle and natural source of BHA (Beta hydroxy acid) which acts to exfoliate into the deeper layers of the skin compared to AHA (alpha hydroxy acid). - Sodium hyaluronate
This boosts hydration to the essence and is the salt from of hyaluronic acid, having a smaller molecular weight which means it can penetrate deeper into the skin to provide hydration.
What is an essence?
In a Korean skincare routine, essences are lightweight watery solutions used to deliver key ingredients to your skin. Essences are used after cleansing and toning and before serums and treatments. Note – COSRX BHA blackhead power liquid and COSRX BHA blackhead power moisture have essentially the same function so do not use it together.
